Utah Photo Locations
Utah is home to some of the BEST photo locations in the world! From the gorgeous mountains to the vast lakes -- there is something for everyone -- in every season. I know that finding locations can be tricky when you don't have the information in one place, so I decided to create this guide that includes some of my FAVORITE locations in Northern Utah. Whether you're a photographer or someone looking to get photos done, this is for you.
Tunnel Springs Park
Located in North Salt Lake, Tunnel Springs Park remains one of my FAVORITE locations in Utah. Just a step away from Salt Lake City, this is a perfect spot for someone who is looking for a change of scenery from the rocky mountains.
And the best part? This location is beautiful in every season with the grass transforming from a deep green in the spring, to a soft yellow in the fall in winter. Whether you're shooting in the morning or evening, this is a gorgeous place to shoot!
Tibble Fork
Located up American Fork Canyon, Tibble Fork is one of the most versatile photo locations in Utah. It is beautiful in every season and is a favorite amongst my clients. There are many different sceneries and backgrounds depending on the vibe you're feeling. Whether you want a lake or mountain background, Tibble Fork has it all! (Oh, also... keep in mind, this location IS open during winter despite what Google Maps says!!)
Silver Lake
Located up Big Cottonwood Canyon, Silver Lake is a stunning location for photos. Take photos on the beautiful boardwalk, in the grass, or in the surrounding trees. This is a versatile location that is perfect for spring, summer, and fall photos.
Jordan Pines
Located up Big Cottonwood Canyon, Jordan Pines is my FAVORITE all-around location. Not only can you shoot photos here during all four seasons, but it also has some of the most breathtaking scenery. Keep in mind, you will need to park along the main road and walk down to where you take photos. You'll never regret taking photos here!
Liberty Park
Located in the heart of Salt Lake City, Liberty Park is a stunning location for couple portraits. As a lifelong Utah resident, I was a little hesitant to shoot here at first, but it quickly became one of my favorite spots. The park is well-maintained, and one of the biggest perks is the shade—making it a great place to shoot at almost any time of day.
Downtown Salt Lake City
